HARDNESS TESTING
City Steel
Heat Treating has complete Hardness Testing facilities. We can test on all common
scales using Rockwell and Brinnell equipment. Our instruments are maintained
and certified by an outside calibration firm on 90 day intervals as required by most quality specifications.
MICROHARDNESS TESTING City Steel Heat Treating has a complete Metallurgical Laboratory for preparation and testing
of microhardness samples. This provides us the capability to verify the results
that we are obtaining with our furnaces and induction equipment in real time, as well as qualification and verification tests
for customer components. Microhardness testing is done on a Lietz instrument
which is calibrated to industry standards by an outside calibration firm.
METALLURGICAL EVALUATION City Steel Heat Treating has a complete Metallurgical Laboratory for evaluation of customer
samples and production verification.
SAND AND BEAD BLASTING City Steel Heat Treating maintains
a complete blasting department providing both sand and bead blast capabilities.
PICK
UP AND DELIVERY City Steel Heat Treating maintains
a fleet of trucks, guaranteeing that we can meet your critical pick up and delivery requirements in our local area. Our drivers all carry cell phones and can usually be at your facility within 2 hours of your phone call.
